Post subject:  Motor shuts off after launch

Got a good one here guys. After 5 rounds of hard work at the dragstrip on the money run I brought the car up on the brake and upon letting the transbrake go the motor died instantly. It restarted and I went back to the trailer. I checked the pick up gap and it was at .065 and then reset it to .045. [7" dia wheel] It is the 1/2" style p/u and seems to be centered over the pick up wheel nicely. I quickly checked for crank thrust issues and found none. I went back out for second round and it did basicallty the same thing. I did find a possible clt sensor lug loose after the second round run but there were no fault codes on my check engine light. I f the clt wire was loose enough to be an issue would that left a code? I'll check the ohms on the p/u when cold and hot and post them. The only other possibility would be an Faulty alt putting out some dirty power or noise. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----PLEASE!!!!!!

p/u checks 687 ohms cold and 755 ohms hot.

Did you ever figure this problem out?

No I did not. We went to the next race and had no issues until the last run of the evening, then the same iratic behavior started up again. We then loaded up and went to the biggest race of the year. At our witts end we relocated the unit off the engine block to isolate from any heat, changed to a new BIN file and then kicked butt all 3 days of racing. Did not ever find out if it was a corrupted BIN file or if it had to do with something loose or heat breaking down in the unit itself. I am now the owner of a TEC GT. SO FAR SO GOOD. On board data loagging is great! [at least that is what my laptop tells me]
