I am trying to get the dash on without the engine running (waiting on parts etc.). Couple of items I am wondering....

1. The mat, clt, map are all scattered and jumpy with nothing connected. Is this normal?
2. I tried to connect the tps (rotary ford style) but get nothing. The value is jumpy on the dash as well.
3. I cant seem to get the LM1 to communicate with the tec. Ive tried a few different program values but it dont read in real time.
4. Is there supposed to be a signal across the 5v and ground wires? Meaning will I see 5v off the grey red wires?
5. Why on the dash does the battery value say .0v and is off the screen?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like the answer to all of your questions is a shorted 5v line (grey w/ red). That will cause faulty readings on all the sensors including the battery voltage.

I checkd all the leads and nothing is grounded. I unplugged the main harness and it still is doin it (going haywire). I also tried a different pwr lead and it still is doing it........

Any other options?
