It starts right away with minumal cranking but I have to put my foot on the pedal to jold the RPM's at roughly 2000 to 2500 rpm to keep it running. during this time it is running rough and after 20 to 30 seconds it settles down. I'm not sure if it is too rich or to lean during that time. I ahve tried to monitor the status with the Tec 2 software but can't determine what maybe the cause. After it warms up it runs good.

It sounds to me like you need to transfer some of the fuel you're giving the engine on startup from the 1 sec enrichment to the 20 second enrichment (try to keep the total the same). If the engine starts pretty good regardless of temperature, don't mess with the temp based enrichments.

Here are the settings for those I have right now: SE0 150% SE1 20% ASE0 50% ASE1 5%
I believe you are refferring to SE1 and ASE1. What would you suggest I change them to?

Actually, if the problem only happens with cold start (and not at all with hot start), just start increasing ASE0 (I do mean the temperature base 20sec enrichment). Start with large adjustments, 15-20% at a time. Have patience, this will take a while. Cold start is one of the most difficult things to get right. You'll basically only get 1 or 2 trys a day once you make an adjustment. You may even need to try it a few times to be sure a change did you any good. Wisconson winters aren't going to be doing you any favors either.

It does not matter whether it is hot or cold. It is more general.

If so, what does it read when the engine is running rough at startup? This question applies to your other post regarding stumbling on acceleration too, btw.

I only have a narrow band EGO sensor. When it is starting and running rough it is around 18 to 19 AFR. When it settles down it is around 14.7

This will keep the total enrichment the same while cranking, and will hold most of the enrichment for 20 seconds.

One thing I found that wasn't set right was my IAC stepping that is active during starup and decceleration. It was set to 240 and that was the reason I had to hold my foot on the pedal to keep it running. I changed it to 60 and now it can mostly hold its own after starting without me assiting with the pedal.
