I'm new to the forum and not as savy at tuning as sum.. Problem: Bog after I shift into higher gear. Ex: I'll wide open throttle it up to 7kish +/- push the clutch in and let off the gas and then when I get into gear I'll floor it further. But when I floor it after I change gears it bogs for 1-2 sec and then spudders and comes back in like normal.. but all the while my car is slowing down... My transmission is real notchy so I can't shift super fast and have the gas floored through the shifts. Besides, I don't want to drive this thing that hard so I wouldn't even if I could. Any ideas?
My problems: Bogging as mentioned above...
Unable to read charged air temp sensor (it just says -19degrees C and never changes.. I've changed out sensors and it reads the same)
Unable to read cam sensor (haven't yet checked it with a volt meter though I have changed it out and it still throws a code)
My wideband reads different values compared to the tec3r. While the WB varies with rich/lean conditions the voltage the tec3r is reading is around 1.54-1.8 volts...It always reads 10-11afr untill I let off the gas and then it jumps to 4.6 volts-ish(I checked the wideband with a volt meter and it seems to match up with the lean/rich conditions so I'm guessing the tec3r isn't seeing that signal)
All this stuff really hinders any cold mapping and datalogging... Its impossible to datalog if I don't have my Air to Fuel ratio.. Can't run it in closed loop...
The previous owner bought this thing from Nemo... He also put this thing in so I'm having to go back and learn all the mistakes he's made. There aren't too many but the ones I find are aggrevating..
Is there a way that I can post a print out or setup through the software so I could get yall to just look over it and point out anything irregular?? I was reading in the manual that you can save a file that has all your settings but I don't remember..
After looking through the other posts I figure this is way too much for one thread... So if ya want just limit the responses to the shifting question.

hum, that is one hell of a post, for the tec3 and wb sensor, they will differ, for a couple reasons, as far as your upper rpm shifts, hard to say, i'd like to see a data log

Maybe less cheese in your diet - sorry, couldn't resist.
So it sounds like you've got EGO feedback turned off, so that shouldn't be it. How about the deceleration fuel cut? Is it enabled.
First and foremost is the AFR issue - are you feeding the WB output into the TEC3, or is the TEC3 reading a different sensor?

Get the MAT sensor working first, that will just complicated things.
"Bogging" as you put it can be from a too lean or too rich condition. Too lean could be from not enough accelleration enrichments or a "hole" in your VE. Too rich could be too much enrichments or a high spot in your VE. Hard to tell via the web. What does your WBO2 read at the time it bogs?

Ok- great news.. I'm going back to square one.. Got the wideband sending the correct values to the Tec.. I swapped out the MAT sensors but here's a question about that: They both read -2degrees C. I don't have a true MAT sensor. The MAT that I'm using is the Charged Air Temperature sensor that is located right before the throttle body. Like I said I swapped them out and they both read the same. If the type of sensor isn't the problem then I'm probably bleeding voltage somewhere in the wiring.
Edit: I noticed that the MAT will read different temperatures but they are all scaled down in the negative range.. ex: at 82F outside it reads -2C and at 60F degrees it reads -19C.. Those aren't the actual numbers but you get the idea. So in actuality the MAT works but not in the range that it should be. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the sensor resistance range is wrong. The manual says the Tec unit needs a sensor that reads 70oF (20oC): ~3300Ω 180oF (80oC): ~350Ω. Just a thought. That would definitely frig up the readings. There is a table in the manual to tell you what it should be for your current temp. Also check your resistance to ground on the sensor ground wire. Good luck. Wiring issues can be frustrating.

what wideband are you using? ive got the same problem with mine not matching the tec. i used the #s from AEM and put them into the tec but its still off by a good bit.

I have a turbo XS tuner with VW sensor. Before I learned all the settings it was aggrevating. But I can tell the tuner to output a linear scale for my afr. from 10-20 (what ever it says in the tec3r) and match them perfectly together. See if you can do a free air calibration which will establish a base point for your wideband your voltages will better align with your settings. Is it really off alot?? Before my WB would read 16afr and my tec unit would constantly read 10.8afr. Anyways, not sure if the AEM has a free air calibration function. All I do is pull out the sensor; log into the tuner via laptop and click F.A.C. option. It warms up to temp (which is 750C - really freggin hot) and then wait till it finishes and cools then plug it all back up.

Thanks I haven't checked the back of the manual for info - Though it was all appendicies.

If someone did the wiring that has never done so I would think you may want to check there. Just pull your harness out of the ecu and check for continuity on all your sensor wires. sounds like a ground offset issue with the wideband
