wired up a map sensor according to directions in manual to monitor vacuum/pressure in the engine case.

when i turn on the gpo it shows up in the gpio box with a voltage output. btw, for the map sensor i selected voltage and am using gpo9.

i ran the car and to test the gpo i put a manual vac pump on the map sensor and it works great. the voltage increases and decreases just fine.

i took a log and when viewing it there is no voltage reading. you can see the graph where it shows the operation of the map sensor. now, the fuel pressure sensor i hooked up works awsome and is accurate.

any ideas?

bump.....

i see looking back at this post in the third sentence, it should say the datalog graph line increases and decreases just fine instead of voltage.

do i need to switch to a dif gpo?

the sensor obviously (im assuming) has a ground, has voltage becuase the ecu is showing/recording activity.

when viewing the log or real time reading all you see is a line, no voltage

I'm curious as to what fuel pressure sender you used?

i used the 4201 with the pigtail jon minetioned. it works pretty good. i think by the time i purchased the brass adapters/fitttings it was about 60-65 bucks.

another route you could take would be to use a pressure transducer from fjo or aem; they run about 100 bucks nad are 1/8" npt.

here is a link to where i asked about the fuel sensor too.

two-questions-please-fuel-pressure-sensor-and-map-sensor-t545.html

also, i jsut created a voltage scale in excel for it to convert over easily.

Here's the sensor info you need:
BWD part number S4201 or S4202.
These are available at Advanced Auto parts for 00-05 Buick LeSabre (S4201) or 04-06 Pontiac GTO (S4202). There are others but I know those work.

The sensors are the same but S4201 has 1/4" NPT thread and S4202 has M16x1.5 thread with a copper or aluminum gasket.

The connector is available from BWD P/N PT217. I think you can order it from Advanced, but it's unlikely they would have it in stock. It's the same connector as the new-style GM TPS, but I'm not sure if it's a part we carry. I'll let you know once I can find out.
