I just changed from phased/staged to seq./staged - installed a cam sensor/wheel and change the wiring for the injectors.

The car is a Toyota MR2 running a 3sgte with TEC3r

When the car is cold it starts perfect, but must of the time when it is warm I have to start the car 2-4 times before it get the right signal - or something else ?? When it is not getting the signal (or something else) it goes down 200-300 rpm at idle and misfire …….. no code on the TEC3r and I have no trouble getting the engine to start …….I have tried to adjust the cam wheel between 6 and 90 degree and the air gap to the Hall sensor with no luck….. Right now the raising edge is going past the Hall sensor about 25 degree BTDC.

The cam wheel has a 58 degree window like the attached picture (the wheel in gold colour)…. And the setup is like the other picture with the red sensor bracket and the blue cam wheel.

Does anyone know what the problem could be ?? :( :?: :(

Without any other detail it sounds like your Constant 20sec starting enrichment needs work. With phased injection, the fuel will puddle a little in the runner and give it time to evaporate a little making it a little easier to start. You may just need a little more to get it keep running with sequential.

72 lb/hr injector
ASE 0 = 10
ASE 1 = 8
