i want to add a sensor to the system. can i just run a GPI wire to the sensor and piggy back the ground and hot from another one near by? or should i run a dedicated hot/ground wire.
reason why i ask this is all the grounds and hot wires split off one wire anyways, didnt think it would matter.

That would not be a problem. Split as needed.
