OK, I want to energise a relay below 5100rpm, switching it off above that rpm. At present I am using custom #2 (OR) with the following settings:
RPM Above which GPO is ON rpm = 0.
RPM Above which GPO is OFF rpm = 5100.
MAP Above which GPO is ON kPa = 28
MAP Above which GPO is OFF kPa = 28.

So will these get me to where I want to be?

Steve, where abouts are you in the UK? I don't know wether to go to Wintec4 on mine as it looks like the bugs aren't quite worked out yet...
Are you really familiae with that program now? 3.5.2 is perfect for me apart from only 2 rev limits..
ANDY.

Andy Wait a while( takes getting used to after knowing the tec3 software) but I would use the 3.5.6 version.

Andy,

I switched to a TECgt, and winTEC4 as a consequence, early in the development period (Jan 2007). As far as I can tell winTEC4 is now pretty much bug free. There will be a number of settings that change when you swap - I had some work to do with these but I believe that an early bug in the map conversion was responsible for much of that (which Jon has since fixed).

I find winTEC4 a more friendly and intuitive environment - I managed to get the engine running more smoothly within a few months of getting the TECgt in and running than I did over a period of years tuning the TEC3r in wintec3. Not only that but after setting the engine up in Aug the engine held its tune throughout the following autumn/winter and spring - the TEC3r always needed a little fine tweaking as the seasons changed to keep it dialled in (it's a daily driver so idle and slow moving traffic behaviour etc matters to me). Now I can't say if all that is due to the TECgt or the new software but I suspect a large part is Jon's hard work with the software.

I am in SE Devon.
