Okay, this is my first big wiring job and first attempt with a standalone, so bear with me if I say something stupid. :)

I got this TEC GT used. The DFU connector had 20 gauge wire on ALL of the pins (A-D). From reading the manual, (d) is supposed to get power from a 12awg red/white wire coming from the fuse block. It almost seems like the guy before me soldered the 12awg wire to the 20awg wire.. isn't that dangerous? I should have 12awg the entire way correct? If so, is there any way to open the connector to put the thicker wire in, or do I need to buy a new DFU connector?

Thanks!
