I am am currently modding my ford v6 and need some help with my Electromotive system install. This is a even fire motor with 3 coils mounted on each side of the motor. The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 and have wired my coils as follows:
spark plug # Coil driver
1 A1
4 B1
2 C1
5 A2
3 B2
6 C2
My quesiton is what what motor do I configure? V6 even fire or odd?
Thanks very much for your help.
Mike

You'll actually select 6cyl duel plug. That will activate all 6 channels and make the engine run properly. 6cyl even fire mode is used when using the 6cyl DFU, and odd-fire is for V-6s that do not fire at even 120deg intervals, like the Maserati Bi-Turbo v6 or the Chevy 90deg v6.

One thought that I had; if I selected odd fire and left the offset at 0 would that eliminate the 2 sparks per engine cycle thus adding life to the spark plugs and wires?

If by setting the offset to 0, you mean setting the DFU B TDC equal to DFU A TDC, you will have effectively made the engine configuration the same as 6cyl dual plug. Regardless of the engine configuration, you'll be getting 1 spark per crank revolution. I doubt that switching to full sequential will make a significant difference in plug/wire life because the wasted spark really takes very little power. It's the actual combustion and stress of igniting the compressed mixture that eats up plugs and wires.
