I'm in need of a replacement muffler for my 2L 16V putting out roughly 150 HP to the wheels. I have used a DeltaFlow Flowmaster with good results in the past on a previous car. It has nice sound and perfomance but is a heavy muffler. I like the sound of the Borla and have seen dyno results on my style engine between it and the flowmaster. Both offered in creases in performance but at different points. Does anyone else have reccomendations? I would like to have a deep throaty sound but perfomance is the first priority.

Maybe consider a muffler/glass pack from a 1000-1300cc motorcycle. They are usually in that horsepower range and there are many choices for sound (Yoshimura is usually a good pick). It's also intended for a motorcycle so it's going to be lightweight. Stock mufflers for a GSXR-1000 or a Hyabusa will also be pretty free flowing and lightweight and QUIET. They are required to meet 85dB for DOT regulations. Trouble with those is that they are getting to be kinda funny shaped on the new ones and may be difficult to fit.

I have the Borla XR-1 Sportsman Racing mufflers and they flow very well and have a lower note than my stock SRT-4 exhaust did.
