There are a lot of spark plug manufacturers out there and I was wondering if you all had any preference / problems with any wires that you might have used in the past. If you comment please leave the manf.; wire size. and the pluses and minuses if any- Hopefully anyone else looking for wires could get a good idea from here as to what to run with these advanced ignition systems. Most people say that low resistance/ft is the way to go and others say that low-z is a mis-nomer. Any comments?

I'll start first-

Crane Firewire 8.5mm; Good for about 3 months and then started arcing out and misfiring. But would try them again because I'm not sure how long they were on the car before I bought it. Plus they are black-

Edit...Just got a set of the R-100's... Good to see someone else prefers them- thanks tim.

Magnecor 10mm racing wires. I've been using the same set for several years now with no issues. I will never use anything else.

I've never had much luck with Magnecors on my turbo cars, either KV85 or R100s. Always died in 6 to 18 months. I now use Racing Beat Ultras a little more expensive, but much better build quality and I have never had a set fail.

I've run the 10mm magnecores with no problems. 3 sets since 1994.

Moroso Blue Max wires work well

or you can call Taylor and they have several types that work well with our ignition

2 Key ingredients for good wires with our ignition:

1. Carbon resistor core wire
2. 800 ohms ft resistance or higher is recommended (brand shouldn't really matter)

hey Erik,i used the Taylor wires.Had nothing but problems with the boots and wire ends coming off. Got Magnecor UK to make me a custom set and no problems at all now... Only the 8mm ones too...
