Hey all. I bought a car awhile back that came with a tec3r. The car is a 1988 300zx shiro. It supposedly had a blown HG. Turned out the motor was toast. I've built a motor and replaced the brakes, steering, and suspension and freshened up a lot of the little things that need to be done on a 20+ year old car. A friend is building a relocation pipe for the new turbo and then I'll drop the motor in and fab a custom downpipe. After that I want to neaten up the wiring and it should be just about ready to go.
I don't know jack about tuning a tec and I'm not really sure I have the aptitude for it so I'll just be lurking and trying to get a handle on where to start. Here's a pic of the shiro and a link to some more.

Welcome glad your aboard. You should not have a problem tuning the tec3 once you know the basics.
There are some smart people here if you need help.

Thanks. I think I'll need that help
Right now it's all greek and I don't know where to begin.
I've done all the work on my car except installing the pistons, rings, and bearings. I'd hate to have to turn it over to a speedshop now so I need to put in some time with the tec manual.

Thanks. Not too many people know about the shiro. The first gen is my favorite too but...the z31 is underrated and also a lot cheaper than the s30.

Eric doesnt work here anymore. But if you have any questions Fred or Uwe will be happy to try to help you out. I am an engine builder not a tuner so I will not be much help on that front
