My Tec2 chip has a sticker with PAFZPIT2 and a serial no on it. I looked on the electromotive website and tried searching here, but I can't find out how to tell what software it has on it.
Thanks.

Looks like you have PAF-Z firmware. It had the programmable AFR table, but no TPS blend. This firmware was not WinTEC-compatible.

Sure - it just requires a ROM swap to a newer release. The trick at this point is to find a new ROM. They come up on eBay every now and then.
Newer ROMs include:
PAFBlend - added TPS blend, and as far as I can tell is identical to WinTEC
WinTEC - see above, compatible with Wintec V1 software
WinTEC2 - added switch (on/off) functions to GPO as opposed to just PWM, onfly programming, plus some other subtle changes. Requires WinTEC2 software

Ok, I just got a chip that says WT001T2. Is that WinTec or WinTec 2? Where are you guys looking for the chip codes?
Thanks!

That would be a WinTEC 1 chip.
You can get the software here:
http://www.getfuelinjected.com/products/software/
get the file named "version116.zip"

Thanks Tim!
The guy I bought the chip from mislead me a little bit. Should I try and return this and get a Wintec2 chip? I've been having trouble finding a feature comparison between the software versions.

I guess it depends on what you need and whether you paid a premium on the notion that you were buying a WinTEC2 chip. As I recall the main new features introduced with WinTEC2 were the onfly programming and expanded GPO functionality. If you don't use the GPO, then that isn't an issue, and onfly is nice but not mandatory.
