Hello guys, here is what I have.

First I had tec3r and i been using the software 3.5.6.. the car was having issues where after 560whp or so the car started to buck and fuel was maxed out. So my buddy who is a electromotive dealter could not figure it out for a while, I kept messing with the tec3 and changed the setting from 2amp to 4 amps. Automatically the car just started running real rich and now i was able to make 700+ whp with fuel still available.

my setup is 4cyl
1600cc injectors (5.7ohm) I just got this information from the shop guy that ohm out the injectors.

I am going to convert now to e85 I will be running 4 primary injectors and 4 secondary injectors. I been reading a few post and now I am scared because as waht John says that you should not run low imp injectors in a single chanel... But my car is full sequential, or that is how it was installed. I am just scared that something is going to happen and the injectors are not going to open..

I already know how I am going to do my stage injector setup.. I am going to tune my primary until I reach about 80%dc. then i am going to tune the VE in primary to show 80%duty cycle all the way to the top and then I am going to start tuning the staged injectors from where there...

Please can someone give me some input on this. I am going for 800+ and I do not want my engine to go bad because an injector issue.

thank You,

Edgard

I had the same issue. I spoke with Uwe and we agreed that since I have 160 lb/hr. bosch injectors which aren't really a low impedance injector nor a high, that I might be better off using the 4 amp setting. My dealer disagreed also and as I had already blown a head gasket, bent a wrist pin, and destroyed a piston, what could it hurt? The improvement was amazing, with similar results to what you describe, with managable A/F and egt's on methanol at about 975 deg. I personally don't think the injector was able to fully open with the two amp setting, even though the tec showed reasonable pw's.

Changing the setting required me to redo all of the fuel tables, I'm just about done with the primaries and am at 83%. time to turn up the boost and work on the secondaries.
