The Radio Shack USB to serial adapter has worked flawlessly for me. Drivers work on 98/2000/XP. Drivers are also conveniently located on their website.

^ I Just purchased that best buy one. hopefully it will work, i will know tonight.

I will also post up one that DID NOT work for me.
freaking crappyy adapter (-_-)
waste of 25 bucks.
