 Post subject: Cam Sync Window

I need to be 100% certain I'm getting this right.

Looking at attached image, if I put the hall sensor where it says cam sensor, and also put a iron metal tooth in the same place, but on the cam gear, this will be right, correct?

Hi Joel...
I think you've got it right - with the engine at #1TDC on the compression stroke, the cam sensor and notch (or tooth) should have the relationship shown in the pic. You get quite a bit of leeway - the sensor can be anywhere from 3 deg to 90 deg before TDC on the cam.

Thank You Tim. Just wanted to be positive, and hear it from a pro. I'm doing a cam sensor just like slowMX5 did, as shown in his vid> http://www.slowmx5.com/HallSensor/Hall= ... index.html
