Hello all. I'm in the San Diego area and have been building on a 1984 Buick Grand National since the late '90s. I own a transmission and auto service and repair shop, and the car is an extreme projects car for the shop. It's setup for mainly 1/8 mile and 1/4 drags. The project started out with a TECII and is now running a TEC3r. In the Buick community I'm considered rather nuts, not just for running an electromotive system, but for all the other out of the box mods I've done with the car.

Instead of trying to list all the specs of the car...

New member here, have worked with TEC2s and TEC3s for sevral years.

I'm in the final stages of a twin turbo 260 ci Stage II install into my 280Z Datsun. It has a manual transmission and (god forbid) blowoff valves. Lots of offbeat stuff in my car too. I'll use a TEC3r for EMS on my odd-fire motor. Project status will be updated here when engine management work gets underway.

Here's my build thread on hybridz: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136300

The Buick online community is in love with Accel EMS's with distributors, and most will question/ridicle your use of the TEC. Don't listen.

The Swap is progressing - Motor mounts are done. Lots more to do but major fit problems are solved.

Can't wait to have this gross mechanical work done and get on to Engine Management!

I have to say that is looking mighty gorgeous. Buddy of mine traded his Z28 Camaro for a 84.5 GN. Darn Hot air setups suck! He wants to convert his over and I have been telling him to go with a GT but he is a little timid about getting a standalone.

Hey Donnie,
I was slow to realize that you are DonWG from turbobuick, com. I have admired your work for some time now - That car is just sick!

I will definitely be posting progress as it occurs. I really can't wait to get all the car/engine fit issues ironed out and get into the TEC3 tuning. If you remember, I have that old 4-barrel SII intake fitted with 12 - 85 pound injectors and a 1600cfm Holey pattern throttle body.

My car is primarily a road racer - I want to win the Silver State Challenge with it(!) - but it will see some street and drag duty as well.
